A - Mount Barker Master Planned Neighbourhood Zone (MPNZ)

Assessor Question:

Are you able to provide me with a detailed list of either postcodes or an area map that identifies where the MPNZ is.

I have used the interactive map that Planning SA provide but it is very unclear and it still does not have the updated energy efficiency layers, still old 5 and 6 star variations.

This query relates to Part 2.2.4(6) of the SA Ministerial Building Standard MBS 007; Modifications to the Building Code of Australia.

We have discussed this with the team and also checked in with the ABCB and believe the responsibility in this case is with the regulating authority – council/certifier.

If the certifier is comfortable to accept the future installation of solar and for it to be included on the Whole of Home certificate, then the responsibility for the installation goes beyond the scope of the assessor. It will require communication and agreement between the owner and the regulating authority and be dependent on what the regulating authority is permitted to accept. As a side note, it seems questionable that a council would approve work to be done post the completion of the build.
