Whole of Home - Hydronic Heating and Hot Water

Assessor Question:

We have a question regarding the Whole of Home tool. Our client has selected a hydronic system for both space heating and domestic hot water; however, this option does not appear to be available in the tool. Could you please advise whether we should select the default systems in this case, or if it would be more appropriate to leave the fields blank?

TechLink Response:

Currently Hydronic cannot be entered into NatHERS.

For heating you would use the defaults.

For Hot Water the unit may have gas stars (if a gas heater on the hot water tank), so could be entered as a hot water tank with the relevant star level;

Or if a heat pump version may have some STC's associated with it, so could be entered that way.
