Assessor Question:

I’m a TPA and have an upcoming job, and just wanted to check where I get the latest version of the assessor stamp to stamp all of the documentation? This will be based on NCC2019 so not whole of home assessment. I’ve tried looking on the Design Matters and NatHERS websites with no luck.

TechLink Response:

  • This refers to clause 13.3 in the NatHERS Technical Note (2019 and 2022). DMN does not have an Assessor AAO stamp as such.
  •  The stamp is mentioned by NatHERS however relates to the ABSA stamp with is compulsory for all ABSA accredited assessors... it’s a carry over from when ABSA was the only AAO and also used to provide accreditation training.
  • DMN does however encourage our Assessors to use the BEST stamp which is DMN branded and also ensures that all the data and specifications relating to the energy assessment appear on the drawing set to comply with Clause 13.1b of the NatHERS Technical Note (2019 and 2022).
