Assessor Question:

Can DMN please clarify how should a ACP be modelled in firstrate5? i.e. Alucobond A2 4mm.

The ACP comprises of:

  • 0.5mm Aluminium sheet
  • 3.0mm mineral core
  • 0.5mm Aluminium sheet

We note that the wall builder requires min thickness of 1mm in order to be modelled.

TechLink Response:

  • Alucobond A2 4mm has an R-value of 0.002.
  • FR5 displays the R-value to 2 decimal places, therefore the R-value is zero.
  • To keep the thickness consistent model it as 4mm aluminium.
  • Displayed R-value will be zero.
